Many a comic working today has stories about the legendary "Tribble Runs" - long drives through treacherous country, bizarre locations, and indecipherable travel routes... in fact, "Tribble Runs" have, over the years, become sort of an industry "rite of passage".  In all honesty, David Tribble and his wife Laura have worked exceptionally hard to bring quality comedians to places that may have never seen live stand-up comedy before, and those "Tribble Runs" are still some of the best places to earn your "road comic wings" today.

Rock Solid Entertainment hasn't been in the comedy booking game as long as some of the other companies we might mention... but they've got impressive credentials to back themselves up. Rock Solid has shared booking responsibilities in the past with Entertainment Solutions on a lot of the infamous "Tribble Runs" in the Northwes, not to mention having put together several quality shows themselves. Better yet, booker Rocky Whatule is a comedian himself - so he's particularly sensitive to the needs of other comics; it's a great company to get in with.

Funny Business is an agency that pretty much every working comic in the country will come into contact with at one time or another, because they're one of the biggest around, booking generally between 40-60 rooms at any given time, ranging from a huge run of one-nighters throughout major hotel chains in the Northeast, to quite a few top-name comedy clubs. John Yoder's been in the booking game since the 80's, and he's built his business on a reputation for quick and efficient professionalism - both for his clients and his comics. This isn't the best agency to get your feet wet with when you start out on the road, but it's a great one to know when you've worked your way up the comedy ladder a bit.

Ken Muller's Comedy Productions handles a lot of special event bookings, as well as a good number of regular one-nighters. The company draws rave reviews from quite a few comedians, and Ken has built up a reputation as an honest and up-front booker.

Kaye Frazier's Entertainment Delivery books a number of rooms throughout the southwest - in particular, she books comedy at quite a few casinos in the area (ranging from small Indian casinos to the "Comedy Comedy" club every week at the Hilton in Reno, NV). She's worked as a comedian herself for over 14 years, so she's got a good grasp on what comics need to succeed in rooms like hers... The work can be sporadic at times, as some of Kaye's rooms are not always weekly events, but it's definitely welcome, nonetheless.
